What is Juxtaposition??

Definition: Simply stated, juxtaposition means placing things side-by-side. In art this usually is done with the intention of bringing out a specific quality or creating an effect, particularly when two contrasting or opposing elements are used. The viewer's attention is drawn to the similarities or differences between the elements. [source]

Some people will feel hard to understand what is juxtaposition. However it is very easy to understand by explaining using pictures!

Juxtaposition is quite often use in advertisement.

Juxtaposition by putting the healthy advertisement and the fast food advertisement. We will directly get the message of fast food will cause obesity.
